1. Information We Collect

VidPage ("the Service") collects the following information to provide its services:

  • Google Account Information (Name, email address, profile picture, unique identifier)
  • Information obtained via YouTube API Services (channel information, video metadata, caption data, and information needed to verify video ownership)
  • Usage history on the Service (Created pages, settings)

2. How We Use Information

The collected information is used for the following purposes:

  • Providing and operating the Service (Transcription, page generation)
  • Verifying ownership of YouTube videos
  • User support and responding to inquiries
  • Improving the Service and developing new features

3. Use of YouTube Data API

The Service uses YouTube Data API Services. By using the Service, users agree to be bound by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Users can revoke the Service's access to their data via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

The Service's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. External Processing Providers

We may use external service providers for hosting, data storage, transcription, and AI-assisted content generation. These providers may process video metadata, captions or transcripts, and generated page content only as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service.

We do not use, sell, or transfer Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit-worthiness, or data sale purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties without user consent, except as required by law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain collected information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, store user-created pages, verify ownership, and comply with legal obligations. Data obtained from YouTube API Services is not retained longer than necessary and is deleted or refreshed when appropriate.

When a user deletes their account or requests data deletion, we will delete related stored data as soon as reasonably practicable and generally within 7 days, except for information required to comply with legal obligations. Revoking access through Google's security settings does not delete data stored on YouTube.

6. Data Protection

We take reasonable security measures to protect user data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure, including encrypted transmission, access controls, and appropriate management of authentication credentials.
