Yes, for Private pages. Private use for personal learning, research, and reference is fine. Public publishing, however, requires verified ownership of the video's YouTube channel.
Will my Private pages be visible to others?
No. Private pages are noindex and excluded from search. Even with the URL, only the page owner’s Google account can view them.
What's the difference between Fast and High-quality mode?
Fast mode uses YouTube captions for speed and low cost. High-quality mode uses AI audio transcription (Whisper), which produces better results for Japanese or caption-disabled videos.
Can I upgrade a Private page to Public later?
Yes. From the Private page, you can verify ownership with your Google account and promote the page to Public at any time.
