Public pages

Turn YouTube videos into articles people can find and read

Public pages are for videos you own or are authorized to publish. After ownership verification, the page becomes indexable and shareable outside YouTube.

SEO

SEO benefits of Public pages

Full script text is indexable

Every word from the video exists as HTML text on the page, making the content discoverable through long-tail keyword searches that video-only content can't reach.

FAQ structured data (JSON-LD)

Published pages emit FAQPage structured data automatically, making them eligible for Google's rich result display in search.

VideoObject structured data

Video metadata, thumbnail, and URL are output in VideoObject format to send the right signals to Google Video Search.

Clean noindex → index transition

Private pages are excluded from crawling. Indexing only begins after you verify ownership and publish — so drafts never accidentally get indexed.

Use cases

Common use cases

YouTube SEO

Create more search entry points for your channel

Surface summaries, FAQs, and key moments that your video alone may not rank for. Optionally add tags to organize pages. VidPage pages can capture long-tail search traffic from people who never find your video directly.

Webinar / Live recording

Repurpose webinar recordings into indexed content

Turn multi-hour recordings into timestamped pages that help readers find the highlights, Q&A, and actionable parts — without watching the full recording.

Education / Online course

Archive lessons and seminars

Give students a readable companion for each video lesson — complete with a searchable script, section navigation, and FAQ. The page becomes a permanent, indexed study resource.

Brand / Recruiting

Make company and recruiting videos readable

Convert job-fair talks, founder interviews, and company explainers into pages candidates can read before or instead of watching. Faster to digest, easier to share.

Product / Demo

Document product demos and feature walkthroughs

Turn demo videos and feature announcements into structured, searchable pages your sales team can link to and prospects can read at their own pace.

Channel operations

Build a video-driven content operation

Continuously convert your channel's videos into indexed text pages and grow a library of SEO-ready content. Each video becomes a permanent search asset alongside the YouTube upload.

Workflow

How to publish a page

1

Generate a Private page from a URL

Paste any YouTube URL. VidPage generates a full page with script, TOC, and FAQ — saved as a Private draft.

2

Review the generated content

Preview the title, summary, script, and FAQ before anything is made public. Edit anything that needs attention.

3

Verify ownership with Google

Sign in with the Google account that owns the video's YouTube channel. VidPage checks channel ownership via the YouTube Data API.

4

Publish and start indexing

After verification, the page goes public with structured data output and becomes eligible for search engine indexing.

Guardrails

Guardrails before publishing

YouTube ownership check

Google sign-in verifies that the account owns the video's channel. Publishing is blocked if ownership cannot be confirmed.

Review before public

Generated pages start as Private drafts. Review title, script, and structure before making the page public.

Index only after publishing

Draft pages are noindex. Structured data (VideoObject, FAQPage) is emitted only after the page is published.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish pages for videos I don't own?

No. Public publishing requires verified ownership of the video's YouTube channel via Google sign-in. You can still create Private pages for any video for personal use.

Will my pages actually rank in search?

VidPage pages include proper structured data, full-text scripts, and clean HTML. Indexing typically takes days to weeks. Ranking depends on content quality and competition, but the technical foundation is solid.

Can I unpublish a page after it's live?

Manual unpublishing is on the roadmap. For now, you can contact support if you need a page taken down.

Can I promote a Private page to Public later?

Yes. From any Private page, you can run ownership verification and publish without generating a new page.
